Welcome to the Kansas State Board of Nursing Web Page. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Mary Blubaugh and on December 1, 1999, I began the position as Executive Administrator of the Kansas State Board of Nursing. I would like to give you a little background about myself. I was born and raised in Kansas and have spent all my life living in Kansas except for three years. I began my nursing career when I was 15 years old as a volunteer in a small hospital in Western Kansas. I attended LPN school at North Central Kansas Area Vocational Technical School, and graduated in 1980. I attended Fort Hays State University and received an ADN in 1983, BSN in 1990, and a Master in Nursing Administration in July 1998.

I have several years of experience in nursing administration. I was a Nurse Manager for a home health company and during my two years as Nurse Manager, my staff grew from 2 to 11. After two years, I was promoted to Regional Supervisor for 12 offices around the state of Kansas. After almost seven years in home health, I accepted the position of Practice Manager for a physician office. Besides working full time as a Practice Manager, I also taught CMA, CNA, and HHA classes for a Community College.

I look forward to working with the nurses across the state of Kansas. The Kansas State Board of Nursing Web Page is our newest form of communication to keep consumers and licensees informed about the changes and current happenings at the office.
